Ringing in the New Year

Last night was New Year's Eve. Guess who's still recovering? It was quite lovely, all night and morning too. I'm running off of three hours of sleep surprisingly well. The early morning biscuits and gravy before bed might have helped.
The evening started out at a lovely wedding of two really wonderful people, both from work. It wasn't nearly what I expected.. in a good way. My date was lovely, my wardrobe was a little overdone but classy as usual, the little people that I knew where the life of the party, and I got to see other sides of people from work that I haven't seen before.
We left our first event to attend the second, with a detour at TJ's. Bye bye $40. Holy Cow! But you always gotta spare a little for the Corona. Off to the adventure to DeSoto, MO. A thirty minute drive turned hour drive. Word of advice, never take directions from drunk people, the smart phone will always get you to where you need to be.
And we begin the party in the boondocks. We finally made it to the house at quarter till midnight to witness the final keg stands of the year. Work people again, hilarious work people. Some of the best. End of that story. Met maybe one of the sweetest girls ever, hopefully a new friend. Got a call from S which was greatly appreciated and a call from V, which was a missed call.. oops. Thank goodness he calls again at 6am. I'm wide awake to talk.
Sooo, who's the new pool shark? I'm working on it. I figured it I can be decent under the influence, I might be able to do pretty well when I'm sober. We'll find out when I get around to playing on my pool table.

P.S. I am not going to mention the fact that I just got done cleaning vomit off of my dress and the shoes that I loaned out to my sister (neither of which is my vomit).

Welcome 2011! Please be kind to me. 11 has always been a good number..

New Year is Coming

I'm trying to think of resolutions, but I'm done with plans. The first month of my new year is going to be full of new starts anyway. Jetting off to Nashville, starting a new semester, and crossing my fingers.. I'm going to find my future, new, final college.

Blog Recovery

How many times am I going to pretend to start a blog and realize that I'm not cut out for it. Everyone knows that I read blogs, but I don't think I can write one. I can try. I have tried. Look me up anywhere on the internet, I bet you can find me with a dozen half-way started blogs. But here I am trying again. A week before the new year.. año nuevo, vida nueva.. right? Hopefully this year.

I got a bible and a treadmill for Christmas. How's that for new starts?! They really are my main focus during the new year. We'll see how each one goes, but school will also be kicking my ass. 100% business classes.. yay! Organization is key. Thank goodness for pretty planners and expensive smart phones.

I think I can work with this.
